Health2.0 Spring Fling: Matchpoint Boston, A Preview
Today and tomorrow businesses and innovators are converging in Boston for launches and demonstrations of cutting edge technologies in healthcare. One of the highlights of this conference is an event called Matchpoint. Healthcare industry hosts and technology innovators are brought together for successive rounds of brief meetings to discuss specifically how a technology can meet an industry host’s needs. The entire concepts seems akin to speed dating, but for businesses. According to Health2.0,many joint ventures (or should we say, marriages) have begun with the Matchpoint event. Jonathan Bush, CEO of athenahealth will give the keynote address. A mixture of panel discussions and fireside chats ensure the other elements of the conference are interactive.Code-A-Thonand Health Law 2.0 are two pre-conference events held on Saturday and today respectively.

In what ways can health information technology alleviate healthcare system redundancies?
Are there any ways in which health information technology can address various social determinants of health?
Are there any ways health information technology can alleviate health disparities?
How can this tech stuff make my health better?
To learn a little more about the companies involved and to amuse myself, I created a
Pinterest while getting ready for the conference. Also be sure to look for my live tweeting of the Health Law 2.0 session later today on Twitter.
